About Pavilions Swords

About Pavilions Swords

We've been part of Swords since the day we opened in May 2001.

Before Pavilions Swords arrived, Swords had no major retail to speak of. Families drove into Dublin city for their clothes shopping. We were built to change that. On a 20-acre site between the Main Street and the bypass, we opened as the commercial anchor of north Dublin's largest suburb, and we've stayed that way ever since.

Today, Pavilions Swords is home to 87 shops, 25 restaurants and cafés, and Movies@Swords across two levels. More than ten million people visit us every year.

Pavilions Swords - The centre of north Dublin

The centre of north Dublin

Pavilions Swords sits off the R132, two minutes from the M1 and five kilometres from Dublin Airport, connected to the rest of the county and the country in a way few centres are.

We bring together the brands north Dublin families shop for: Zara, H&M, River Island and Tommy Hilfiger for fashion; Dunnes Stores and SuperValu for the weekly shop; Boots and Rituals for health and beauty; TK Maxx and Eason for everything in between. Alongside our anchor tenants, you'll find Crilly Shoe Repairs, a family business going back to 1938, on the Lower Mall. And Movies@Swords, an Irish-owned, 11-screen multiplex cinema, with a VIP screen offering reclining leather seats.

With over 2,000 car parking spaces (first two hours free) and bus routes connecting Swords to Dublin city centre, the airport and the surrounding towns, getting here is the easy part.

Who we are - Pavilions Swords

Who we are

We're more than a shopping centre. We're part of what Swords is, and has been for twenty-five years. We play three roles for the people who live here:

Curator — Bringing together the best of Irish and international retail, from established names to the shops and restaurants you'll want to come back to.

Host — A gathering place for north Dublin families: 200,000 weekly visits, seasonal events, and a cinema.

Facilitator — Supporting the community that supports us. Through our partnership with St Francis Hospice, we've raised over €422,916 since 2015. Through our sensory programme, families who need a quieter start to their day have one every Tuesday morning.

Pavilions Swords is operated by Hammerson and Irish Life. We're committed to becoming a Net Positive business for carbon, resource use, water and socio-economic impacts by 2030, and we're on our way.
